Teaching Environment

For us to understand how we can assist you, please describe your teaching environment. We use the letters, “A”, “B” and “C” to indicate “class-level”.

“A” means the class is a beginner or introductory class. You are welcome to participate in the LTG program, but your students would probably be lost and frustrated if they attended a play.

“B” means the class is an intermediate class. Students have a reasonable understanding of English grammar and have enough vocabulary that they could hold simple conversations in English. They should be able to understand a play, but will not understand it all — they will fail to pick up on idiomatic expressions and may not understand humorous dialog.

“C” means the class is an advanced class. Students feel reasonably comfortable conversing in English, but are not yet fluent. These students will probably get the most out of attending a play and perhaps attempting productions of their own. Their objective will be, beyond simply enjoying the theater experience, to improve their fluency, learn an enriched (and possibly idiomatic) vocabulary, and understand how humour is expressed in English.
