Do we do it for enjoyment? Of course we do!

Everybody is welcome to join us at the Shakespeare Bar downstairs at the Teatro Laurence Olivier for our monthly “Open Houses” held on the first Monday of the month from 7 to 9 p.m. Mix and mingle at the bar. These evenings provide a wonderful opportunity to meet new people, see a sneak preview of the next production, play some improvisational theater games, join in our activities, become a member, and get involved.

Auditions

“Don’t put your daughter on the stage, Mrs. Worthington.” Luckily for many of our brothers and for us, our mothers didn’t take Noel Coward’s advice. Of course, before you decide to audition you must realize acting is a masochistic form of exhibitionism! But give it a whirl anyway, whether you’re a total novice or a seasoned player.

Auditions for the LTG productions are announced in The Tico Times and Backstage, our membership newsletter. They are open to all and normally held at the monthly Monday night “Open Houses”. If you are not a member, but get cast then you have to join. (See Membership).

Production Team

Not into Acting? Then join the Production Team

Shows could never happen without a production team. A plethora of willing and able bodies of all ages with a happy smile are needed. Directors, producers, stage managers, set designers, costume and props people, stage crew, lighting and sound technicians are essential in mounting a show and it is a lot of fun on both sides of the footlights.

No experience but want to get involved? Not to worry, we will train you while you discover your hidden talents and the satisfaction of working as a team. Come along and find out what its all about at the Monday night “Open House” auditions.
